STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES

POST COVID-19 LOCKDOWN (as of June 2022)

Physiotherapists can now practice face to face consultations without the use of a facemask or other PPE, please ask Liz if you would prefer her to wear a mask. 

Below outlines what you can expect from me and some expectations from you.

  Patient entry/exit protocol

• On arrival patients will be asked to wait outside the clinic until they are called into the clinic by the therapist.

• Patients should enter the building and and sanitise their hands or go straight to the toilet to wash their hands.

• Pre-payment is required via the booking email.

• Clients should wash their hands on the way out.

Treatment room protocol

• Disposable couch roll will cover the treatment couch.

• The window will be open where possible to maximise ventilation.

• If a towel is used to cover a client, it will be single client use and washed at 60 degrees after treatment.

• A 5 minute gap will be left in between patients to ensure no patient crossover, allow for ventilation and leave enough time to clean the clinic.

• All contact surfaces including door handles, treatment couch, seating, pillows, electronic devices etc. will be cleaned with anti-bacterial and anti-viral wipes.

Therapist protocol

• Non-latex gloves (single use) are used for internal examination.. 

• The therapist will wash or sanitise their hands before and after each patient

Uniform

• At the end of each working day uniform will be washed on the hottest wash that is advisable for the clothing.

YOUR AGREEMENT WITH ME

If you come for face to face treatment, please be aware that there is no way that we can eliminate the risk of you contracting Covid-19.
